Refused Double Pay to Work Day Off

I turned down £25/h to work my day off on the basis that the day after I was offered this deal I had what I would consider to be a mental breakdown in the office at the sheer amount of BS that they are expecing us to deal with. I literally could not even get in the frame due to D2Ds piled up, pods of mail piled up and probably 8-10 packets bags all just thrown on the floor and surrounding area. IT'S A f***ing JOKE.

The area rep was supposed to come down last week to explain to us all why he signed the deal/revision off and guess what? He pussied out.

f**k RM and f**k this job. At least there's a help line eh Simon?

I would have took it and done a few loops over 5 or 6 hours. Good pay for a few streets worth of mail.

Being healthy dont pay the council tax, gas bill, electric bill,water bill, tv licence, broadband bill....

A lot of us are feeling this way including myself. Treble time couldn’t get me in on my day off now. In the 12 years I’ve worked here I’ve barely taken a day off sick but I’m really considering getting signed off with stress very soon, just need a break from the hell this job has become.

Same as this, the indoor bit is no longer straight forward and working out which loops your prioritising today while your partner is doing tracked/specials and which non tracked parcels that have been sat there days might you have time to do makes my head fart, especially when your dealing with a frame that’s still wrongly sequenced from a revision that’s been in 5 months and the duty is nowhere near doable, can’t even get half done, the 2 frames have never been clear together since the revision.

yes it definitely does, being unhealthy will eventually resort to vital services cut and even eviction, but why add tv & broadband to the list, it's not a priority on the bill list to live on

I would love to know what percentage of offices were in this position, it certainly makes you think if it’s all part of a master plan doesn’t it, I’m sick of the place as I’m sure almost everyone is although about a third of the office can still just about complete their duties so they aren’t stressed out really, really pisses you off especially when they’re loading the van up whilst we’re just going through our packets most days.

They have not replaced people just run it on ot as soon as you get a bad bout of sickness then it falls apart because there is only so much ot you can do and with no one on the sorting you cant get out the office. Early starts this week so they can load us up as much as they can i will work to time good will left town a long time ago.
