Kier starmer just said on tv labour are not looking to renationalise royal mail the rail network water etc all the promises they gave us so now it is time for us to stop contributing to the labour party they are not going to help us

Nice idea unfortunately it will cost too much only for it to be sold again by the next government, the next best alternative is to regulate to prevent abuse.
The railway can only be nationalised piecemeal as franchises ends reverts back to the government, you still need to either continue to lease the rolling stock from Angel Trains or buy your own trains.
