Best way to learn packet duties

I do LATs, Sundays and Christmas packets and found if you're doing multiple walks it's best to chuck everything into RON and let it make a route for me, there is then no hassle, you're just following GPS. Organise packets in alphabetical order and further by area if you know areas.

If you're doing a lot of packets but for just 1 or 2 walks, then don't necessarily bother with RON, Google maps for taking you to the street is better as you'll just be driving from one end to the other jumping out every so often so there is no need to switch between RON and Outdoor all of the time. I again use alphabetical order in the van. Some people use the route RON makes to number their parcels and load in route order, which is ok for 50 or less, but not when you have 200+ to do. You could also use RON instead of Google by just scanning 1 parcel per street even if you have 5, 10, or 20, it'll take some of the thinking out of it, making for an easier day and tell you which streets to do in what order.

Just use the RON app on the pda for navigation, ask if you can have another login so you can use 2 pdas, as going back and forth on the same pda will cause it to crash more times than not. Take a picture on the route order on your phone just incase it does crash, nothing worse than rescanning everything again. That's the tools royal mail give you to do the job so just use them. Remember you get paid to work not to finish! If you start rushing they will just give you more and more.

Definitely use 2 PDAs, one for RON & other for scanning.

Old PDA Ron is slower but I find more accurate. If it crashed the route is still there when it reboots.

New PDA RON is faster but the route sometimes gets wiped clean. Also takes you to wrong locations...more often than the old PDA.

Scan everything. If there are only 20 - 30 parcels you can put them in order. Anymore i tend to either put them in alphabetically order or numerical order.

When on a Sunday or Monday to Saturday as that seems an large number of walks just to start off with if it's not a Sunday delivery? Personally I'd just do 1 or 2 walks at a time, or otherwise you'll spend more time searching for parcels when you arrive than driving to each drop! if you already know any of the walks forget RON and just put the parcels in street and numerical order, then just deliver them in the same order.
