How seniority and FF work? Is FF are above seniority?

It can, but it all depends on context. Its not something that is black and white, there are various acts and agreements that can impact when Family friendly applies, and how it applies. The same for seniority.

Without any details, its difficult to advise. If you are in the Union then the Branch Equalities officer is probably the best person to apporach.

Generally largely depend on your manager how flexible they are but I would speak to your Union Rep as soon as possible.

My experience is that if colleagues don’t think they are going to get what they want, they conjure up a “Family Friendly” reason to try and get it ! Someone who wants a day shift as they have to drop kids off at school don’t like it when are told they could do a night shift and still get home to drop ‘em off !
