No I just want to know how many door to doors im meant to do considering I have no partner.

The simple answer is all of them over the course of the week. How that should be achieved seems to be largely down to local arrangements. Officially ours should be done Monday to Friday with every frame being clearly marked with which columns should be delivered which day. In reality some people do it that way and others will throw them all in and take them where they are going over the course of the week.

If you're on a duty all week then shouldn't the answer be all of them, presumably it's still up to you how many per day, and the policy seems to differ between different offices as to whether or not you can prep them and leave in the fitting until you get some mail or even if they have to be mon-fri or finish off on sat.

I'll quote what one of our managers once told us "if you don't like it you know where the door is".

Are you sure thats one walk? 9 columns? 9 colums in our office is like 2 walks or a pairing or whatever. Like one walk is maybe 4 colums the opther 5.

Most duties in my depot are 7 columns, often with some boxes annoyingly double-slotted. But there's at least one 9 column frame, all single slots, biggest HCT duty in the depot... Duty holder, ahead of our revision, got told the computer says it can be delivered in 3 hours on a typical Wednesday! No chance!

I've only worked in the one office, and most frames are 5 columns (with the odd 6 column, and even fewer 4 column that are generally either paired with a 6, or for later collections folk). The vast majority of "columns" on most frames are 40 addresses wide (some aren't crammed and may have 34 or so). Is this what you refer to as "double slotted"?

Ours are 7 columns, 4 high, 20 houses per section if you're lucky.
At least 2 of columns on average will be double slots.
So that's roughly 720 calls per fitting

A single slotted box usually has 20 individual address separatations in it. A double-slotted box would have 40 addresses, with two addresses between each divider.

It means there's greater potential for chunky mail bundles in a double slotted box, plus if only one of two house between dividers have mail having prepped D2D into them, you either need to mark up the D2D left in the frame to know who it's for later in the week or cold call to one address just with D2D.

Definitely sounds like you have double slotted frames.

After the revision we have a lot of frames with 12 columns and D2D's are a nightname with 2 columns a day , especially if you have 4 or more
