Should reps step down when they make an application for a management role?
We have had a case at our office recently of a rep who mishandled a serious case and then stepped down on or around the time he was transferred out of our office to become a manager. Nobody except our manager seems to have been informed he was even going for a management role, but a senior manager has said that he wouldn't have had a conflict of interest and that we are questioning his integrity if we say he did. What do you think? Can we complain to CWU about him?

Regarding the title...YES!
Regarding questioning his integrity, nothing to question as he ain't got any.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think they should step down when they're involved in a shoddy revision that they know will fail, but still encourage the members to vote for it.
Just like my office rep.
