Are RM panicking over the revisions?

Post by Woody Guthrie »

Our structured revision seems to have had a complete make over in the last 24 hours.

We have a new manager, he was trying to make a name for himself I think, after trying to sideline the union and announcing he was going to decide what the revision looked like, Introducing later starts, longer deliveries and removing attendance patterns we were preparing for battle and getting the fighting trousers back on.

Yesterday he was called to a meeting of senior management and today all of those things are off the table and suddenly we are having the lightest of light touch revisions.

I think they're so desperate to get any kind of revision through by the end of October that they're willing to cave on almost anything.

If I'm honest I'm a bit disappointed, I was looking forward to the fight.

Obviously whatsisname has got to go to "the market" and avoid he share price falling like a lead balloon.
Nobody in the market is going to question too deeply what sort of revisions have been put in, they just want to know savings are being made.

It may be that it has dawned on him that these structural revisions can't take place because those tasked with implementing them can't do basic primary school mathematics.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

All the "Naughty Managers" in the area (whose offices are failing) had to go to a meeting with their Boss as well, perhaps we'll be told something interesting tomorrow? :hmmmm

Just in time to switch off for the weekend. :cuppa

Managers do seem to be dumber than in the past. Thought our realignment would reduce favouritism, but its only down by a third. Manager ignores realignment duties and keeps friends close. Scan in/out seems to have stopped absence fraud beginning and end, but we'll see. Massive breaks to go home for 1 and a half hour lunch are still there though. Favourites can still refuse their duty and push manager to get others to cover it. Fuc**rs changing their hours and making up the time/not making up the time on other shifts for last five to ten years are now in trouble. Look at at how their tired faces now look like ours.

Very sensible for a change , they all need to be postponed done right and in a quieter period .

they are trying to rush our through as the area union is piss poor to be blunt , no vote on duty structures in the orrifice but yet the clowns have put the maps up  , and all they have done is stick extra loops on deliverys and havent put any parcel drivers in as it isnt viable for the company apparantly , so i dont care what they do and no matter what i am on i will just work my hours :wave , and that is it . oh merry christmas :left:

Revisions??

They need to start making sure the deliveries are going out everyday first!
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.
