If you are due to work on a bank holiday you should get a day off in lieu or paid for that day as overtime.

Pro-Rata gives you 5 Bank Holiday Days, As the following policy explains.

i’m on 29 hrs contract pt
start mon 21:30 finish tue 07:30 (2days)
start fri 21:30 finish sat 07:30 (2 days)
start sun midnight 00:00 finish mon 09:00 (1day)
any way my issue is the 3 days work pro typically i’m at work 5 days so if you do pro rata royal mail says i’m on 3 days contract but works out i’m at work 5 days i’m confused any idea ?

I'm not sure what role/grade you are but for us in delivery our holiday is in hours rather than days, so on a 29 hour a week contract you would get 29 hours a week holiday.

Holiday is done in hours for anyone in RM. It has been ever since RM moved from ManPower over to PSP. Entitlement is in hours and booking time off is in hours
