Anyone got any idea what the massive bulk postings are? With the figures we've been given for each day, there's going to be a s**t load of manual going out to DOs each day where it'll be physically impossible to sequence it all

If it is Xmas catalogues then chances are they won't be machinable. think we're expecting a total of around 2.5 million items of bulk postings this coming week. No idea if they'll already be sorted down to walk level or come in already sequenced (if they're machinable), if they are then they might just get cross-docked to the lorries doing the runs to DOs

It is Mid-August it will be the Xmas catalogues.

If so they are very heavy and cannot be delivered to spec arrival in the DO. Usually, they get deferred as you can only get about 4 into a bag (or 8 in a trolley) before it becomes overweight.

I'll be surprised if they are Xmas catalogues. We've been told that the bulk posting(s) are all mech items and I can't see Xmas catalogues being thin enough to be mechable

Maybe they'll come through next week. I doubt that RM would have that on the top of the massive bulk posting(s) that are due through this week and are supposed to be mechable. They can't be flats as we don't have a FSM so they can only be mech letters
