Dutys that are held over when you have a rest day.

On my last couple of rest days my duty hasn't gone out ,so when I return to work I get two days mail ,two days parcels and two days absorbsion for no extra pay .Surely this isn't right. Other postman ln our office are doing a single duty then picking half a duty up on overtime, so doing less work but getting paid more.

First things first,why would you even consider absorbing/lapsing/ whatever,when you are coming back in to face two days work?

Lapsing is there to take you up to your finish time on the quieter days. Nothing more,nothing less

Happened to me once about 3 years ago, just worked until my time. The duty was a sh!t show for 2 weeks after. Never did it to me again.

it took me 3 days to get on top of mine after it got left in on my day off just did what I could upto my time and no lapsing

Effectively paying for your day off by working yourself into the ground.

This keeps happening to me, have your day off and get s**t on the next day !!
