Big Trust Survey Results / Review

Post by CharlesG »

Big Trust Survey ended on 9th May where there was a big push in our area to get staff to take part , CEO stating this was a chance for real change and to change the culture of Royal Mail for the better.

It is now 42 Days since last day of Trust Survey and we have been given no results for our office.
In a meeting the manager said it would be a real chance to drill into each office to see how they are performing and can be reviewed.

Was sent a letter last week saying results would be reviewed between Rep and Manager but as off yet that has not happened. I know for a fact that the percentage score on trust was well below the desired level so understand the want & need for management to want to brush the results under the carpet.

Just find it hilarious how management were really pushing all staff to complete it but when its results day and reviews are to be done management do not seem too pushed to have the conversation with the staff.

And there was me thinking this was an opportunity for real change

Have other offices held reviews and instigated next steps ?

They're taking a leaf out of the CWU's obsessive compulsive disorder with social media, you have to go on that Workplace thingy to get your info now...

Look out for feedback from the People Panel (The forum explored a few of the key areas of focus that have been identified from our Big Trust Survey results.) on the Team Royal Mail page on Workplace – coming soon.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We got a brief update on our results last week - hilariously bad. Only around a quarter of the office were motivated to fill it in, and still the feedback was negative. The assistant DOM will review the results with the unit rep. That's it.

That was before it was announced the revision would bring in 5 hour walks, so I can only imagine workplace happiness will have shot up 10,000% come next year's survey.
The machine stops.

Workplace has already caused issues in our office with the absolute rubbish that has been put on there in our area.
Seems like a place where managers pat each other on back for doing job they are paid to do, and also a place where you realise that your office must be in a different realm to the offices shown on there

We can all see revision is miles away from being doable but like other offices staff find the dom unapproachable or whats the point they never listen anyway. Most duties are 5 hrs plus anyway , georoute get back in your box .

What sort of stuff has been put on there? Is Workplace something just for managers?

Wokplace is for everyone at RM and is the new way to spread the corporate bullshit outside of working hours without having to print it in the Courier. There are posters at our place telling you how to register, they've put them up in the toilets when flushing them down them would have been a better option.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

I'm new to RM and have only worked at 3 depots. At each of them I've seen the CWU reps get the cushy rounds and the best vans (for what on the surface looks like personal use) & vast amounts of overtime . They are not going to spoil their nice number by rocking any boat.
