Revision

Post by eastie »

We are having our revision soon and all was sorted but now the planners have got involve again looking at the PDA's during the quietest time of the year and are trying to take extra hours out the office. Saying things like you stopped her for 2 mins you stopped there for 3 mins but my arguement is they dont know why you stopped , it could be for any number of reasons. PDA crashed , stopping for a road blockage , train , someone asking you a question etc. also they can't expect a 60 year old to work as fast as a 20 year old .

They just need nicely reminding that if the rounds too big, they don't get done. And when you upset a postie on the edge, you risk losing customers through their poor performance.

The rep, area rep, CWU should be jumping on all this bollox.
Stopping for a minute here and there, how can they plan a duty on that?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I thought they were supposed to be using data from some October weeks from 2019 not this years 'quiet' weeks?

These revisions seem very odd. I too thought that the national agreement was to use figures from weeks 29-32(???) 2019 as a basis for building your revision. However revisions in our area are going to disagreement once they’ve been built due to area management throwing them out because they want to use your recent 4 week rolling average!! The biggest problem here being that as soon as you get halfway through one part of the revision the 4 week rolling average has changed so they want more hours out of the office. It is impossible to do revisions on that basis as the demands from area are constantly changing.
