So, those idiots, Ward & Hayes, support "refoms" to our pensions, do they? :mad This stinks to high heaven, they shouldn't be supporting the robbing of our hard earned pensions, they should be insisting that both Royal Fail, and the government, put right a mess they made themselves, not us.
And what of Leighton, what of Crozier, what of the other top 100 executives in Royal Fail? Do our not-so-dynamic duo feel it's fair that the pensions of executives should be exempt from "reforms", "reforms" these executives want to impose on the only people without whom, there simply wouldn't be a company for executives to mess about in?

I for one, will never support any corporate banditry within Royal Fail, especially when the bandits are the very people, or people like 'em, solely responsible for any mess Royal Fail finds itself in.

Bugger off, Hayes, Ward, Leighton, Crozier, and take your pension "reforms" and stick 'em where the sun don't shine. :mad

After the sell out on pay etc, this letter only shows that Hayes and co have been got at.

If we don't agree to reform the pension the company won't be viable, pay and other improvements will be held back.
What improvemnets would that be ?? monthly pay, annualised hours flexible working How much more do RM want?

Billy I think we should be told, well before you step down as GS

What about the 43 Million In bonus's managers gave themselves? Thats a big chunk of money that seems to get bigger every year that would be better invested back into the pension fund. I for one would feel a bit better, but not by much, If the government and these robbing bast**ds suffered by having to put somthing back into the pension pot. These parasites living off our backs fecking disgust me! :mad :mad :mad

So if we all vote NO to pension reform, the business will be allowed to become insolvent. Yeah, I'm sure HM Government is going to let them happen. Think of the shite they would get for bailing-out the privately-owned Northern Rock whilst letting a publicly-owned asset go to the wall ? It ain't going to happen. Vote NO and make the government face up to it's responsibility for making good the shortfall in the pension fund.

The 'improvements' you speak of, I can do without, thanks very much.

Acording to AON (financial analysts), the top 200 pension funds in the UK have decreased their deficits from £42bn last year to £3bn this year. Probably partly shafting their members, but also probably through improvements in their investments. So what is the real problem with our fund today?
In that pensions video, where Crozier couldn't bring his eyes to face the camera, he said if they'd paid in when they took their holiday, they'd have paid tax. Presumably this tax would have gone to the same treasury that takes profits from RM?
So the only effect of them not paying is less money in our fund.
Still not clear as to how the trustees could let the company pay nothing whilst we still pay. Surely we should have been able to take a contributions holiday too?
Also worth noting the Governmenthas found £57bn (latest figure) for Northern Rock at the drop of a hat. And hasn't even taken over it. So, where is the shortage of cash for making up our fund?
I am sick of managers, and certain union officials (not to mention MPs), telling us we have to accept pension cuts when THEY do not. All in it together? You know what they can do with their proposals to cut our pensions. Cut their own first, then they could argue from a slightly less hypocritical position.

RM is not currently paying money to the treasury!

I believe they WERE at the same time they weren't paying into our pension fund - and we were. They aren't paying in NOW because the regulator forces us to deliver mail from the competition at a loss ( and we still made neary £300mn profit before the strikes). Regulator appointed by ..... the Government. RM top bods appointed by... Govt! SPOT THE DIFFERENCE. And anyone critical of these posts - your salaries and pension details, please. Thanks.

Anyone else up for putting motions through branch, petitions around members etc on this one? Maybe we should send then in to the consultation, and also cc them to hq, mps and the government. And local newspapers - they do get noticed by politicos.

Thanks for posting that Zorro - taking into account all the legal niceties about financial planning, that spread sheet still gives more information than Royal Mail do. Once again thanks.
