Innovative duty structures

Pre voting we had both royal mail and the union suits pushing new innovative duty structures if they got a yes vote.

Have any delivery offices actually created anything innovative?

Have you gone from 1 sat in 6 to 1 in 4 maybe 1 in 3 or have you managed to get 4 day weeks for your members ?

Or were the fabled innovative duties actually regressive and you've gone from a 1 in 4 back to 1 in 6 ?

None of those duties in our office,just more can you walk over,can you work your day off,we are lapsing,no one to do it ,give me a ring if your struggling. Over the years you learn to take all these agreements with a pinch of salt,apart from back pay for pay rises i can't remember anything that was ever any good for the workers,just like the harassment it was there when i started and is still there now no matter what agreement these lot have.

Our proposed duty structure has us moving from 1 in 4 Saturdays off to 1 in 5 Saturdays off.

My understanding is the workforce has the option to accept and get the hour off the working week or keep rejecting it and not get the shorter working week.

Personally, I'm not all that happy, but I detect a fatalistic acceptance by a majority of the office that would see a vote for it pass. Our long and short days are being adjusted as well, with a couple of later finishes on Wednesdays and Thursdays being offset by a couple of earlier finishes on other days. Bear in mind that we already finish at 3pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays before any planned changes are implemented.

Yep sums it up perfectly!!

The revision proposals so far included overloading a few deliveries, no mention of where the hour coming off, leave the senior town guys alone, keep the current 1 in 6.

No innovative duty structures, just saved a few hours to put into the LAT operation, some winners, some losers and no news on a resign
