Whistl - only 3 days a week

Post by gmf_uk »

sorry if this has already been asked, but we have been told Whistl are only presenting mail into the Royal Mail network 3 days a week (mon, wed, fri)
Which is giving us a really busy Tues,Thurs,Saturday.
Is this happening across the country and whats the reason for it??

Cheers

Didn’t they drop some days out at the start of Covid hence nothing on Mondays. I guess they are doing it because of the lack of mail over the summer.

No wilful delay is an individual's deliberate act of delaying mail within the Royal Mail system. (As opposed to unexcused)

You can't wilfully delay mail that isn't in the Royal Mail system, and by definition, if it's with the company that passes it to Royal Mail, it isn't in the Royal Mail system.

At worse if they introduce it outside their contract with Royal Mail it receives a Condition 9 surcharge if it's outside the sender's contract then it's a breach of contract that has nothing to do with Royal Mail.

Companies that use them know that it's a 2-3 days delivery.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
