Re: p/t hourly wage after revision
Why is it full timers cant grasp the fact that when they get an extra hour knocked off their working week their hourly rate goes up and part timers then have to have a pay rise to be on the same said hourly rate,

We can grasp simple arithmetic but at the end of the day only part-time staff will go home with more pay.zombiepostman wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 15:50Why is it full timers cant grasp the fact that when they get an extra hour knocked off their working week their hourly rate goes up and part timers then have to have a pay rise to be on the same said hourly rate,
Why is it some people can't grasp that? , the price of beans is going up and this is not that movie where you pay for things with time.

Re: p/t hourly wage after revision
You must have capacity in your duty/workload if you can do it if you don't you cannot do it tell the manager or bring it back. The whole idea of a revision is to balance the workload for all not just to save hours or have some duties easier than others!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 17:48We can grasp simple arithmetic but at the end of the day only part-time staff will go home with more pay.zombiepostman wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 15:50Why is it full timers cant grasp the fact that when they get an extra hour knocked off their working week their hourly rate goes up and part timers then have to have a pay rise to be on the same said hourly rate,

Hmm not everyone in Royal Mail is on walks and besides the post was saying that Full Timers pay will not go up but we will have reduced hours(That we actually signed up as part of the last pay deal)k979aaa wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 19:28You must have capacity in your duty/workload if you can do it if you don't you cannot do it tell the manager or bring it back. I'm sure there are part timers who will swap contracts with you if it upsets you that much.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 17:48We can grasp simple arithmetic but at the end of the day only part-time staff will go home with more pay.zombiepostman wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 15:50Why is it full timers cant grasp the fact that when they get an extra hour knocked off their working week their hourly rate goes up and part timers then have to have a pay rise to be on the same said hourly rate,

Re: p/t hourly wage after revision
I personally don't know of any FTimers who are not aware of that. But then I don't really understand why you felt the need to post that with noc background or context of why you think full-timers are not aware.
Except of course this post proves the exception to the rule
PTs won't get more than FTs - they'll both get the same rate per hour
The FTs will get 1 hour less work a week but their pay on a flat week stays the same. Why, because their hourly rate increases.
The PTs will remain on their same hours but be on the same pay rate as FT - meaning their pay on a flat week increases.
It really is that simple.

Which is factually incorrect and crass.maisymoo04 wrote: ↑30 May 2021, 14:02P/T s get more then full time posties funny how they always moan moan moan moan were treated different![]()
