Any offices out there having problems agreeing the first stage of the pay deal, part of the so called phase 1 is to agree start times for saturday, cant understand that R.M. ADDED THIS PART to the agreement but now they are saying that the early starts for saturday are not viable, ok we know that this was one of the ammendments that was added to get the delivery people to vote yes, the other one was the extra Â£175, but why add something to the offer that you know is not going to happen, SURLEY NOT LIES BEING TOLD BY :lfo :cfo

we have ours reverted back to 5 am second saturday in new year

Just one question is this compulsory or do you have a choice as an indivdual to start later or not or week by week or not.

as far as i know its an office decesion unless you have a family friendly problem

The previous post was to wakkono but now to your situation it is very clear your D.O.M is not addhereing to the spirt of the agreement and as such nor should you all till he relent's and sees sence after all how hard is it to say NO!.

sadly its an office decision, and it looks like the majority are not up for a fight

k979 we had a meeting and dom told us it wasnt operationally viable to revert back to old times we got the som in and they came back to us 2 weeks later and told us that if the office collectively wanted to revert back we could and walks are going to start at 5 am and rurals at 5.45 we had a vote and there was only 1 against it so it sailed through
but...........
i see trouble if its not implemented in january we nearly all walked out when we were first told we couldnt revert back but dom has assured us its ok to go back so we shall see
as an office you need to sort out start times on your own now,,, my bigest fear is smaller offices that are not strong will not revert back and the cwu needs to take strong action as and when this happens
the trouble is with this whole agreement offices are now on there own,,, take the ongoing action is burslem... i hate to say it but there wasting there time on strike now they have flooded the area with 200 managers and the work is getting done there loosing cash just before xmas pointlessly the cwu shot its self in the foot splitting this agreement into local issues

how do you mean it's an office decision?. do you mean your fellow worker's or from up on high and if you mean your fellow worker's then when royalmail reveal their plan's for the final solution maybe they will think again.

The way the "AGREEMENT" is worded is flexibility is for both the worker's and the royalmail if they do not play ball why should we!. FOR IF THIS "AGREEMENT" IS TO WORK IT REQIURE'S FLEXIBILITY FROM ROYALMAIL END OF!.

Our dom came to me with his idea of what our sat times should be from jan 5.45 then he told me it was negotiable to 5.30 that was enough f-it 5.00 it is now.IR framework for me now.

Our office is reverting back to the earlier times on the Saturday. A few of us dont want to because the earlier starts actually help RM. The last van has to wait until all the rurals are back so that they can take the mail away now that there is no Sunday collection. It was causing big problems as the driver from the mail centre didnt want to hang on and so some mail sat until Monday including specials. We wanted to see what the solution would be if we stayed on the later times.
