MRM.COM : Highlights from the Workplace Live

Post by POSTMAN »

https://www.myroyalmail.com/news/2021/04/best-bits

At the request of colleagues keen to share the best bits of our Workplace Live event with CEO Simon Thompson and the CWU’s Terry Pullinger, we’ve produced a shorter highlights reel.

You can still watch the full event by clicking here (https://royalmail.workplace.com/work/la ... 2892923%2F) and it now has the option of subtitles, too.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I just get the feeling that something doesn't connect in "The Middle". TBH I've got a lot of time for the new CEO, he seems to want to sort out the problems in this Business. :thumbup

At the Sharp End we're all keen to get the problems sorted, because it's us that have to muddle through all those problems and actually try and make the system work! :arrrghhh

However in "The Middle" something goes wrong, and nothing ever get's sorted. I'm afraid it's all above my Pay Grade! :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

What an absolute load of embarrassing shite.

And the survey is not anonymous.
If you write "I think my DOM is suffering from shrunken genitalia syndrome" they will be asking themselves who knows what SGS is and who knows howto spell it. It will identify you. And it will put a target on your back.
Been there. Won't ever do it again. Nobody is interested in the truth.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The problem is this is a privatised company so if this softly, softly approach doesn't produce cold hard savings and increased dividends the major shareholders will do what they do, Simon Thompson will be on his way, another Rico will be in place and this new cosy relationship will hit the divorce courts.

The union seem to be putting all their money on one horse but it's only 12 months since we were at war with the whole board who are mostly still around.

Our office got a special visit once to sort out some 'issues'. The person held a meeting with all staff and left their contact details should anybody wish to contact them with their concerns, in total confidence.
A few people contacted them and when they refused to go on record, they were thrown under a bus, spectacularly.
