I've just viewed the new pay rate guide which was recently posted.

It mentions a fork-lift allowance of £6 per week. Who gets this allowance exactly?

Should RM have been paying me this every week for the last 15-16 years.

I worked in Distribution/Streamline between 2004 - 2007 and had a fork-lift licence/certificate.

My colleagues who joined the business before me got paid some kind of allowance for using it but I didn't.

I transferred to deliveries in 2007.

If your duty had you using fork-lifts then probably but most allowances went in the way forward deal 2000, 21 years ago (Is it really that long!)so the chances are you were not entitled to it.

Depends on when they started.

I transferred to deliveries in 2007.
Then you would of lost it if you had it, which you probably didn't, as you are in 'deliveries' and not using a fork lift truck, unless your walk is seriously.......

I doubt that any DO uses forklift trucks. I don't think we even use them in our MC. At xmas all the pallet trucks were manual ones, think the electric ones are long gone

I wasn't expecting to get a resounding YES from my post. Some of the packets that end up in the packets sacks.... i could do with a fork-lift.
