A big fat £ 0 i hope, especially after their recent bonuses which were obscene
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

They don't normally get one but this year they got £150 in gift vouchers for their efforts during the strike.

Sherlock Holmes would probabley deduce this mystery by simple methods of deduction.
There is a buthere.
Each individual has delusions that they are irreplaceable icons in the system.
Every manager/ supervisor has to display authority and management skills. Rarely any of them have the brains they were born with.
Most have no tactical approach to a situation (clueless).
If we assume their bonuses are scaled by a hierarchy we may be close to the truth.
The reality here is that if all of them decided to stage a wildcat strike the trooper on the vans, cycles and on foot would STILL get the job done and probabley more efficiently.

Still no figures to go by, but are there any managers out there who would care to submit a
£_ _ _00 figure?

I suppose £150 in book tokens would have have been a complete waste of money.

Hopefully for Spec-Savers if our managers are anything to go by.

Or something to remove the black from their legs, the scabbby, strike-breaking scum.

Found out in the East Midlands that they all got £150 Marks & Spencers vouchers, for doing extra work whilst we were all out on strike.

Sticks and stones and all that s**t but we weren't on strike, I believe I work for a public service and that's what they should get, regardless of pay disputes

OOps if thats what you believe you might find your ideas are directly opposed to that of your CEO. I'll make you a bet , send him an email, ask him a direct question try any nefarious underhand means possible and if you can get Adam to mention RM and public service in the same sentence without the word not,...you can have my 1.5% raise next year. It can't hurt go on give it a try I dare you

I know where your coming from, but you can't bet what you don't have and I thought there were "strings" on your 1.5% next year.

I joined as a Post Office casual, made it to a full time Postie and managed to get promoted into a support function at CMA grade, what annoys me is the them and us mentality on this site, I don't work in operations or have any CWU grades in my team.

To really challenge the senior managers in RM we need a united front between the CWU and lower / middle CMA staff, not this silly name calling which may make individuals feel big but take us no further forward.

Lets all remember we are RM employees and Union members, lets campaign for the CMA and CWU to work together to challenge the hierachy and deliver the service the public deserves.

For starters I would suggest that the CWU refuse to negotiate on pay until the CMA have concluded theirs, this would do two things, firstly ensure that the Managers don't get any more than posties (unlike this year) and second mean that any pay dispute would take place closer to Christmas when there is extra pressure on RM to avoid a strike.

It's easy to slag off the entire management but most of us started as Posties and thats where our loyalties lay.
