Lost my round to a casual! Any right to complain?

After a bit of advice. I don’t use forums often, so may be posting this in completely the wrong place...

I’d been on my round for over a year. Paid my dues during the high COVID volume + 2 Christmas’, got it down to a fine art, built a fantastic rapport with the locals, and volunteered for the collection duty for the link 3 days a week to boost my pay. I “temporarily” lost the collection duty to a casual over the past Xmas period, fair enough, the delivery volume was such that it made getting to my collection duty on time difficult, so appreciated the cover, even though it meant working over my hours for free. However! With Xmas done and dusted, I fully expected the collection to be returned to me and normal service to resume, but nope! And then, after taking annual leave in January, I return to find I’ve been now moved to a new round on a different link, with the same casual now taking over my round, effective immediately! My DOM justified this reshuffle by stating “Well so-and-so lives on the round, so it just makes more sense”. To me it makes ZERO sense. In fact, to put this into perspective, due to the unique way our DO operates, Posties on my former link get to take their vans home. This did not include me for geographical reasons, but now does including this casual, as they live on the round. Ultimately, what this means is that this casual will be costing our DO in the region of 800 miles worth of extra fuel each month! Yes, I’ve double checked the maths. Our DO has always operated to the letter of RM’s famous seniority rules. And yet, I’ve somehow lost my delivery round AND my collection duty to a damn casual!!!

I’ll stop there, otherwise this’ll genuinely turn into a letter of resignation. Do I have any legitimate grounds to fight this?

I suppose it all comes down to did you sign for the duty?if you did it's yours and you can argue that it's your run.if not and you were just on it then you can be moved off it at anytime.

They can do what they want if you haven't signed for your duty, I'm in the same position and I've been on mine 15 years. With a revision coming up a couple of people with more years service than me have said would be picking my duty when it comes up.

Well I am afraid you Have made big mistakes by working for free they automatically assume you are a soft touch I’ve seen every day in our office people coming early cut the job up and go home early and the jobsworth people end up working 40 minutes through their break for nothing then they wonder why they get stitched up, hopefully lesson learnt I’ve been stitched up before come in on your time take your breaks don’t go over unless you are guaranteed to get paid overtime or simply cut off I wouldn’t worry if it’s your round or notIt’s not your problem it’s down to the manager to sort out if you don’t wanna get over your time why oh why do people keep working for free no wonder this business is in the state it’s in

That's correct, never signed for it, was a reserve at the time then put on a walk and was never taken off it.

That cant be right - theres never been a repick in 15 years? What about when park n loop came in etc?

Correct no repick in 15 years because this will be our park n loop
