Collections by postmen

Post by eastie »

Royal Mail have been having us empty postboxes for a few years now but since we have had Covid the collections we do are stuck in the van overnight because by the time we finish our round the Delivery Office is shut. So the so called 1st class service isn't that anymore plus Specials and undelivered parcels are left in the van.
We cant be the only offices where this happens

Exactly this. I'd get it in writing from your Dom what they want you to do. If you're van got broken into overnight and all the live mail inside was stolen, I'm afraid it would be down to you. Never leave ANYTHING mail wise in the van overnight.

We have a couple of Post Offices with late collection boxes outside, anything that can't go in the box goes into the Post Office (providing it's before final collection time)
