In our office we have had to stick to the 1pm deadline throughout!

Royal Mail website still says specials timings are extended, so that 1pm specials are due by by 4pm and 9 am specials by 11am.
If management want it quicker , (you may be a late starter aiming to social distance) then ask if they will pay overtime for diversions, if necessary to do so, otherwise stick to the times on the website. (Overseas 'specials' - any time that day).
I cross out the 1pm and write 4pm on it - stops customer complaints before they start. Similarly I cross out 'signed for'

Our manager still likes to mention how some specials are failing to be delivered by 1pm in our work time learning. We don’t even bother to answer him , he’s been saying it since the pandemic started.

We've not had a work time learning since the pandemic started back in March 2020.

Unless RM have had the programming changed the system will still flag a 9am delivered after 9am or a 1pm delivered after 1pm as a failure

What a class act he seems, not!, we never miss them god forbid,it’s painful seeing him go through the items, the part timers never have one and never see him, continuing properganda far removed from how our office works, and summed up by the big productivity board, explaining the office targets ets, last filled in feb 2017.!i keep telling him to take it down if you can’t be arsed to fill it in!,

We keep all our proper special in a tray & do them last, even if we have already been there.

I've not worked in our SD locker since New Years, has there been much of an increase in the number of customs charge items coming through SD lockers since the end of the Brexit transition period?

Not yet, don’t think customs were ready for it.

There actually seems to be less. We used to get about ten a day but it has reduced to less than that in a week.

I've noticed that too, perhaps now that you can purchase Tracked 24 through click and collect for up to £100 value
people are using that.

I sent a letter containing documents to a business on Sat morning by Special Delivery. I checked it at lunchtime and it says it was signed for at 0645 this morning at a mail centre not the business. Any idea how this works ?
