Re: Face masks
Same at our place, all the DOMs pets can waltz around without a mask the whole shift whilst the rest of us wear our masks. It is the DOMs responsibility to enforce the policy and trigger disciplinaries for those that fail to comply. RM have provide masks, visors, gloves and bacterial gel all to no avail if the managers fail to ensure we use them.

Re: Face masks
A sad state of affairs, showing just how selfish us humans are,the same with all these fines that are being dished out,why is it so hard for some people to grasp how serious this is? All these security guys making sure you keep to the rules as you should do without a thought,it beggars belief

Re: Face masks
Genuinely baffled myself, I have said on another post I've seen people who I work with wear them in supermarkets and shops but not in work. They would sooner protect total strangers than their own colleagues. Disciplinaries need to be handed out or people need to walk out citing the office is unsafe to work in.

Re: Face masks
About 60% in my office wear them. COVID has highlighted just how unhinged the other 40% are. They either don’t care about others or a good percentage of them are nutcase conspiracy theorists who think the virus is either fake or created by bill gates to control us. Terrifying to think I’ve been a passenger in a van letting some of these characters drive me around. Frightening individuals.

Re: Face masks
Way too much focus on masks!!!
What good is it wearing a mask that your constantly touching and moving around when youre then not washing or using hand sanitiser at any point during the morning and not keeping a 2 meter distance from colleagues?!
People seem to think that mask wearing is the only action that needs to be taken and its just so annoying that the discussion always comes back to mask wearing but other things are hardly mentioned.
I seem to be one of a handful of people in work regularly sanitising my hands and using common sense regarding what im touching and how closebi get to other people.

Re: Face masks
100% wearing them in my office and no van sharing either. keeping your distance still a problem especially at the bag drop frames. mask wearing is being enforced by managers. office has been cleared every day throughout covid.

Re: Face masks
Wow get me transferred to your office! Since COVID our office hasn’t cleared once. Most days between 6 and 10 delivery’s are left untouched bar the specials/tracked.kingdazzler wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 16:46100% wearing them in my office and no van sharing either. keeping your distance still a problem especially at the bag drop frames. mask wearing is being enforced by managers. office has been cleared every day throughout covid.
I’m sure the local approach to revisions the union has agreed will bring this all back to equilibrium though.....

Re: Face masks
HSE won't do anything.
I contacted them via their online form, they said they were not the relevant authority for our workplace, and that I should contact the local council authority who are the relevant h&s enforcing authority.
But, I'd already contacted the council and they said they were not the relevant authority, contact the HSE !!!!

Several complained to HSE at the NDC site, they paid a visit earlier this week.ripio wrote: ↑14 Jan 2021, 18:58HSE won't do anything.
