They missed out the north east, only had 2 letters since 2nd January one of those was my payslip and genuinely waiting for something quite important.

Letter deliveries have been very patchy ( Twice a week at best) in my Postcode for at least 6 weeks. The office has never been listed as a hotspot.

It makes you wonder just how bad the frames in these “problem” hotspots must be looking. We had one at the end of November that didn’t go out for 4 days and that looked bad enough. They said on the radio earlier that the nhs letters inviting people for Covid vaccinations won’t be delayed, are they pulling all these out and delivering them daily? Can’t see it somehow.deltaforce wrote: ↑12 Jan 2021, 16:57Letter deliveries have been very patchy ( Twice a week at best) in my Postcode for at least 6 weeks. If they're mechable letters then they'll be in the sequenced mail boxesGrumpyoldmailman wrote: ↑12 Jan 2021, 19:14It makes you wonder just how bad the frames in these “problem” hotspots must be looking. Re: Hiding behind COVID part 2
Mail continuously being left in frames
Management not bothered about getting it covered. Covid is providing quite a convenient excuse of failing the USO and saving the pennies in not paying out overtime. Most staff aren't daft enough to be doing 2 days worth of work in one day. They want paying for 2 days for clearing everything not 1!!

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

It all gets chucked in the frame everyday even if it’s not going at ours in the hope the delivery fairy’s come overnight and get rid of it all.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑12 Jan 2021, 19:22If they're mechable letters then they'll be in the sequenced mail boxesGrumpyoldmailman wrote: ↑12 Jan 2021, 19:14It makes you wonder just how bad the frames in these “problem” hotspots must be looking. Re: Hiding behind COVID part 2
The Covid situation is far worse than the figures you see on the BBC news and it is going to get much worse before it gets better. RM have a habit of running understaffed but sadly other businesses such as the supermarkets also run this way as well. ?
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

Re: Hiding behind COVID part 2
My office is one of those on the list. I’ve been off for 2 weeks but before I broke up there was Mail everywhere about 20 York’s of manual letters to sort people been moved all over to rounds they didn’t know it was a complete nightmare. The main cause of staff shortage was loads were getting pinged by the NHS app to go isolate but the DOM was insistent that there isn’t to many people in the building.

I don’t understand the difference in various offices. It’s basically open docket in our D.O. Take as much as you like or as little.
Slider tool. Lol.
