Return to Van Duty

Post by stoneybroke »

Hi. I was taken off my Van Duty about 8 years ago due to a back injury and have been doing foot delivery only since then. The dom has asked me to start using a van again to help with the mountain of parcels. I've not got a problem with that as my back is ok now but can anybody advise if my driving authorisation paperwork will be valid after all this time or will I have to redo my van training and test? Thanks.

It should still be valid.
It's a one time only thing, no expiry date.

But you'll have to do the licence check thing on the PDA, which was brought in a year or two ago, LTB 145/19:
