Carrying over the holiday hours to the 2021/2022 period

Post by postman15 »

Dear all,

I have another 40.5 hours left in my holiday allocation. Can request the manager to allocate these hours before the end of this financial year? What is the maximum no of hours that can be carried over to the next year(2021/2022)

Thanks in advance

There is no maximum this year.
Contactually it's normally 5 days.
Legally it's normally anything above 4 weeks.
This is not a normal year.

I don't think this is ever set in stone to be honest, it just seems to be whether your manager is decent or not. I've seen people carry over 50 days and I've accumulated 116 hours from the past 3 years.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

But how much is five days? Are we talking five Tuesdays or five Wednesdays? How come it's hrs when your booking it and days when you're carrying it over? Typical royal fail.

.
It's the equivalent of a week.
Whatever your weekly contracted hours are.
