DPD talking to a driver there he said packets normal levels

Post by Yamr1 »

They will better organized than royalmail etc and because it's a 7 day delivery service + no letters to organize

+ better management team springs to mind

Plus normal levels because they hired the correct amount of agency staff to do the excess packets that would have made the normal drivers dutys unbearable

Well done dpd hopefully royalmail can sort this out next year instead of penny pinching

No wonder dpd is no.1 for parcels in the UK now

+ You get correct delivery slots and times texted to the customer asswell and will delivery at the correct times

Shame on you royalmail

DPD have limited there business customers to a max 45 packets per day!
Royal Mail, in most instances have taken what they cannot cope with!
Perhaps you would like to volunteer to do a 10-12 mile delivery on foot to help out with crazy volumes we are dealing with?

The OP likes to fish a lot - doesn't he/she ?

Shame on him (ooops stole one of his trademark lines/quotes)

DPD/Hermes etc etc can crow all they like

They handle a fraction of the mail RM process every day

To yamr1 i would like to know if its drugs or drink but you really need help, one minute your spouting on about how good things are at royal fail and the union is the best thing since sliced bread, the next thing dpd is so fantastic, so one question Why the heck don't you go and work for them if they are so brilliant.
By the way i am passed retirement age, so i only do the job because i like it (lucky in the fact i don't need the money)

The thing is with DpD and all the other parcel companies is they're only dealing with parcels. If we only had parcels and no letters or d2ds to deal with the job would be 10 times easier.

He/she/it reminds me of another poster here who keeps being banned. I wonder if it’s another of his/her/it’s accounts.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Depends on who you ask.

Best Couriers Of 2019.jpg
According to a 2019 survey, over half of all respondents from the United Kingdom prefer the Royal Mail as a parcel delivery option. Of respondents, 52.7 percent said they would choose the longstanding UK based courier company, which was publicly owned until 2015.

Chances are that RM and every other courier/delivery company that isn't purely business to business will be in the s**t

100%, agree with you on that one
Royalmail just needed to have better plan this Christmas instead off holding off till the last minute making PT staff up and should have employed more agency staff and got more PDAs and vans ordered last month we all seen this coming expect from area managers and there managers

20 years at RM and every one of those 20 years RM management seem to be caught out when Christmas arrives and only get through it by managers relying on or cajouling goodwill from the foot soldiers. I mean it's not like it is unexpected is it?
