See some of the shops are shutting boxing day a d paying there staff, extra bonus as thank you from some shops and buisnesses.
Wot we getting nothing. Why is RM all doom and glum, we've all seen the I ncrease in parcels and our office the letters are still filling up the fittings. our work place is like the Crystal Maze, yorks, parcels, staff everywhere. We r probably o e of the buisnesses which have kept Britain going through covid. Don't get me started about cwu our support. Yes I do like my job, and grateful got wages coming in but hey how about a some kind of regonisation for all post staff. That's me done Merry Xmas. 🎅

That would have happened regardless of Covid. Posties really are being put through the mill right now.

Our leaders don’t think like that. They’re psychopaths. They don’t care about us

It is standard policy for employers to give additional day/s off if boxing day or Xmas day fall on 'the weekend'.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

My day off is on Saturday (boxing day). So even though I'll be doing an extra day, I've been told I'm getting no extra pay, no day in lieu - nothing.

Same situation for a few of us. Everyone else getting an extra day off Xmas week & no extra payment or day in lieu for us.. we've been told it's tough luck & take it on the chin.
However, a regular manager in our office who's day off would have been the Saturday was allowed to swap their day off to Tuesday instead. 🤔🤔.
WTF 😡😡😡
