Staff at Royal Mail are working round the clock to deliver everyone's cards and presents in time for Christmas
Christmas will be very different this year, meaning it's even more important to spread festive cheer and give back to those providing valuable services.
Staff at Royal Mail are working incredibly hard to deliver everyone's cards and presents across the country in time for Christmas, and this doesn't go unnoticed.
Some of you may want to give a tip to thank your local postman or postwoman, but it's difficult to know the appropriate protocol, given the current coronavirus restrictions.
SurreyLive contacted Royal Mail earlier this week, and it confirmed that tipping is allowed, however it's a "matter between customers and individual post people".
A spokesperson said: "Royal Mail does a hugely important job at Christmas when our people work really hard to deliver cards and presents across the UK in all weathers.
"Royal Mail regards the giving of Christmas tips as a matter between customers and individual post people so long as nothing is expected in return."

Apparently the higher the denomination of bank note the less chance of Covid 19 surviving on it.
Which is ironic seeing as even a virus couldn't live on the tips I receive.
