going from a small combo to a transit do you need a changeover , if you are not happy driving a transit without training can you refuse until you have had some sort of training like familiarization training ?

As I understand it if you go from a CDV to a 5 ton Van then yes you need a change over. Not sure if you can refuse but you can advise him that your are not confident to drive them, and that you have not undergone a change over for that size vehicle.
Make sure when you tell them that you have a witness so there is no comeback on you.

In all honestly I dont think anyone could argue that they wouldn't be able to drive a transit van.
