PDA. Lying to the customer
Why don’t we have the option of scanning ‘missrouted’ with message ‘we will endeavour to correct this and get your parcel to you tomorrow’ instead of having to scan ‘inaccessible’ or ‘no answer’. For the customer , at least they would know a mistake has been made and corrective action is underway and they don’t have to check their Ring / Nest / traffic reports.

Re: PDA. Lying to the customer
I think it can already been done. I have had afew people say to me recently they have had an email saying it’s been sent to our office incorrectly when clearly it has been missorted in the morning and it’s ended up in a later starts dropbag.

You can also go into the "indoor" mode and scan it as "not attempted" that is what our office does with ones that didn't go out or
come back as cut offs.
come back as cut offs.

This does happen when I get missorts on the indoor scanning and the message is similar to the one you suggest.Bboingg wrote: ↑26 Nov 2020, 21:53Why don’t we have the option of scanning ‘missrouted’ with message ‘we will endeavour to correct this and get your parcel to you tomorrow’ instead of having to scan ‘inaccessible’ or ‘no answer’. Concur with TBT, it's on 'Indoor' - trouble is many posties don't have time/can't be arsed/no-one is directed to scan items asTrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑28 Nov 2020, 06:52This does happen when I get missorts on the indoor scanning and the message is similar to the one you suggest.Bboingg wrote: ↑26 Nov 2020, 21:53Why don’t we have the option of scanning ‘missrouted’ with message ‘we will endeavour to correct this and get your parcel to you tomorrow’ instead of having to scan ‘inaccessible’ or ‘no answer’. missorted and the recipient is none the wiser of the whereabouts of their item and they just get chucked in a 'missorts' bag/york.
I scanned one as a missort on a Saturday, next week I was on the duty at the neighbouring office where it was
supposed to be and it didn't get there until Friday (with my writing on it of the village name which had been missed off)!

Re: PDA. Lying to the customer
That's down to the DO not sending the missorts back to the MC. In ward Tracked (norally) gets processed on nights only and intra (Tracked posted in the area covered by the MC and going to an address in the same area) and any missorts are the first to be sorted. We sometimes have to send killed off items back to a DO for 2-3 days on the trott for the Tracked items to get the kill-off sticker put onyellowbelly wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 12:25

Re: PDA. Lying to the customer
with the increase of tracked parcels i'd say an update on the pda's is essential
we get line managers saying "just take tracked" when they're 50% of the total and can't do them all anyway
the coming 4wks could be a real s**t'storm if not handled right
