‘A brilliant team’
Ensuring customers in Skipton get the service they’ve paid for every single day
We reintroduced van sharing on a voluntary basis last month and teams throughout the business have been making adjustments to ensure sharing vans is done safely and successfully.
At Skipton Delivery Office, the return to shared vans has been a positive experience thanks to colleagues’ teamwork.
Delivery office manager, Shane Whitford, said: ‘It was hard work when it was just one person to a van as colleagues had to go out on a bus or walk to the first delivery point.
‘So, they weren’t too comfortable with that. But they did it, and to be fair to them, all the way through since Covid-19 arrived, they’ve delivered day-in, day-out – they’re just a brilliant team.
Skipton postwoman, Sarah Hunter, added: ‘I’ve got no problems whatsoever with it as long as you stick with the right procedure and keep sanitising as you go around. The van is full of everything we need to keep safe.’

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hands, Face, Space.
I can see the masks, I'm sure they use the hand sanitiser if not wearing gloves. But the Space is a BIG fail. And Royal Mail has shared this video? Good grief.

All about clearing offices.
Safety is second.
You get in a van with someone with covid, you're contracting it.

Unbelievable!!
Royal Mail are actively encouraging van sharing even though we are in a second National lockdown and are told to refrain from using public transport and work from home wherever possible.
If we had any real health and safety officers our office would have been closed weeks ago

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

RM glorifing another bad decision
Are people really this Niave?
There’s no question that you are doubling the chance of catching COVID virus while sitting in a van together but if
they are willing to take the chance then so be it.
I start at 11am and finish at 7pm ,yes, it a pain but it’s my choice because want to live a an old age..
Think wise everyone and don’t get sucked in by this bullsxxt.

The first postie on the video:
"I've no problems whatsoever going 2 in a van"
Literally 30 seconds later she admits to being one of the people pushing for a return - "bin men do it, why can't we"
No conflict of interest there, eh.
