Transferring to different delivery office

Post by malawihap »

Is there a procedure for transferring to another delivery office. I have been looking at moving to another county and wanted to know if anyone on this forum has done the same thing and how do you go about working in another delivery office close to where i was looking to move.

What we usually advise is to go to the delivery office/s you want to go to personally and see the management/rep there to start the ball rolling.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Stating the obvious but you can only get a job in another DO if there's a vacancy available, they can't simply create one for you.
As Postman says, speak to your intended office before you do anything.
