Apologies if this has been asked before. As the Boxing Day official bank holiday is Monday 28th does that mean that Saturday 26th is a working day?

Or be paid for them if I am not much mistaken.

Deleted my post (links) as I was not aware the Christmas arrangements LTB already posted in Union Room yesterday.

It'll probably need whoever does your PSP stuff to make a manual edit as PSP will probably deem the Saturday to not be a Bank Holiday

I could be wrong but I seem to remember when this has happened in the past, because it’s not a bank holiday, if it’s your rest day you are just unlucky and you are not entitled to a day in lieu or paying for it.

But that's not fair surely. So anyone who's not Saturday off that week gets an extra day off but those who are Saturday off dont? Are the cwu aware of this if this is the case? Maybe 1/6 of the office should take Thursday off sick in that case have a nice long weekend .

If going by the last time it happened.
Not for the saturday as its not a service day. The Bank Holiday will be Monday so you should get the Monday credited to annual leave or get alternative day off during the following fortnight or get paid for it.

cwu are aware of it. Last time my days off fell on the saturday so i didnt get the extra benefit. Those scheduled to work saturday got an extra day off for free.

So why aren't the cwu doing anything about 1/6 of delivery staff being short changed 7 1/2 hrs or looking at it another way, being done out of £85!!
