End of 6 day post
Start of 5 day post
Monday to Friday letters and small packets
Saturday special delivery and tracked larger than shoebox
It is coming
Temp staff to that date will be laid off due to not needing as many reserves and floaters. Smell the coffee CWU

mass redundancies for FT staff (not a bad thing IMO)
and then fixed term part-time contracts are made permanent.

My gut feeling is that in DOs anyone who can't drive will get axed first. I reckon at some point in the future RM will go over to owner-drivers like PF (at anyone at PF - are all delivery staff at PF owner-drivers???)yubin282 wrote:mass redundancies for FT staff (not a bad thing IMO)

I think weve all just got to the stage where we want to if we will have a job in 3/4/5 years time and what it will be.chickenwittle wrote:Nothing like a bit of doom and gloom is there chaps .
If they are going to get rid of some of us or the jobs going to become rubbish we just want to know now so we can plan if we need to find alternative employment.

Couple of questions:theotherone wrote:https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... 69&t=97986
What's standard 100BSi?
If all rounds are going to be 5 hrs delivery from 'first to last letter' ie 6 hour minimum attendance, what happens to all the P/T staff? Are we all getting made redundant? Or going to 3 or 4 day weeks??

I do wonder if management are looking (again) at ‘waysiding’ whereby a PTer on a 5 hour day will simply meet the driver out there on the round, given bags/PDA, constantly fed bags then hands everything back to the driver at the end of the 5 hours.ArthurPewty wrote:Couple of questions:theotherone wrote:https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... 69&t=97986
