LTB 127/20 - SICK ABSENCE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS - COVID 19 : Royal Mail "Vast majority of coronavirus absences to be discounted from the normal attendance procedure"
We would expect the vast majority of coronavirus absences to be discounted from the normal attendance procedure. However, in the event coronavirus absences are for an excessive duration or repeat in nature further investigation may be required.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

They can issue a stage two even if you do not sign it but the manager has to give his reasons for issuing it in writing once you get the notes after stating your case do this with another employee if you can as you can request it. Then after you receive the notes of the interview read it carefully if It does not have about your events as you describe on here you can amend his notes photo copy them ask him to type them up as per your amendments if he refuses keep the amended notes for the duration of your employment. These notes will be part of an RTU and are evidence of his incompetence and his unreasonable issue of the stage and could save your job.cuz50 wrote:Just read the union page on covid attendance.
