If your contract states 30hrs that’s what you do.
Any overtime is your own choice regardless of what your pressurised brainless manager says.

Remember in your 6hr working day that includes your 1/2 hour mealbreak, therefore you will be working for 5 and 1/2 hours a day.

Any mention of overtime in a contract has to be specific, ie one hour per day or minimum five hours per week etc.

Stating 'overtime must be done when required ' or 'reasonable amount of overtime ' is just the company trying it on. It not worth the paper its printed on. Who's to say what is or isn't reasonable?

Tell your manager if/ when you want to work your contracted hours and let him deal with it.
