You are told to take lapsing out, you do, not enough time to deliver it, you bring it back. Who should re prep it for delivery the next day?
I married my wife for her looks, but not the one she gave me when i said i was going to be a postman.

If you are expected to throw undelivered lapsing back into the frame then just return to the office earlier .ashadd wrote:You are told to take lapsing out, you do, not enough time to deliver it, you bring it back. Who should re prep it for delivery the next day?

It is the managers direction to an individual in operational grade if he or she should foresee it impacting upon the completion of their duty they should inform the manager!

If you do not have the time to deliver the lapsing, I would be asking the manager, why on earth am I being given lapsing to do? Have the rep and Dom had a meeting to discuss the traffic figures, because that’s what should be happening.

You will find most is preordained by deliberately understaffing the office or because of sickness/absence.eastie wrote:They dont bother with traffic figures anymore they put it up regardless

really this isnt a legitimate question, the manager should be ensuring that mail gets delivered that day regardless.ashadd wrote:You are told to take lapsing out, you do, not enough time to deliver it, you bring it back. Who should re prep it for delivery the next day?
Of course the reason this is happening is because managers dont want to hear how youre not going to get to your lapsing so bury their heads in the sand until you can no longer be bothered to tell them everyday you wont be getting to it again.

I doubt there is a 'rule' for this situation when it shouldn't occur in the first place. It's up to the manager to manage, he'll have to find someone who has the time.ashadd wrote:You are told to take lapsing out, you do, not enough time to deliver it, you bring it back. In my office we tell the manager if we think we won't have time to do lapsing (assuming we don't want the overtime), if he argues we say ok I'll take it out in case I have time, but bring it back if I don't , he never agrees, its always left.
