Naming and shaming

Post by Jpro747 »

So RM have come up with a new brilliant way to get us all motivated. Every day the DOM puts up a list up on the noticeboard of people who have failed to scan as little as ONE tracked barcode, who was idling their van for too long, and who has had any complaints made against them and what they were for. Why not have a quiet word with someone and give them a chance to explain instead of embarrassing them in front of the entire office for something that maybe wasn’t their fault?

Union should be ALL over this.

Put the name of the DOM alongside and a long list of their faults/scams below, shouldn't be too difficult I imagine.

Quite possibly an idea that has been floated about in conference calls and your manager took the bait.

There is a LTB that addresses the vehicle telemetry bit in the thread

LTB 056/15 I have copied the relevant bit from this LTB. It is from 2015 so it may not be current anymore. Ask your CWU rep mate.

Both parties agree that all individuals have a right to privacy at work and it is accepted that there is a mutual obligation of confidence and trust applied to every contract of employment and that all parties should act in a way so as not to break that relationship. As such driver performance data produced will remain confidential to the individual and will not be displayed on notice boards or in league tables. Equally outputs from Canbus will not form part of daily performance management.

Ours have related this to the duties rather naming the postie. From van registrations sat idling to customer complaints. But the point of it all is?? Is it like a leaderboard to see who can score the most customer complaints?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Called one of our girls out for being 'worst driver' according to Trimble and would have to complete driving course. Found out later that it was a data fault. Did they acknowledge this in front of the class and apologise? Did they f**k!

When the 2D barcodes started our place put up scan rates per duty as a percentage in a week. Some were hitting 99% and some were less than 10% but no one was ever called up on it. I couldn't see any point in them doing it but it must have wasted a few gallons of red ink.

Just add a line to the column of what ever table they're displaying called "f***s given" and in the corresponding figures column write a big fat "0"

100% the above, and as said the rep should be all over this, even if they blurt out the s**t at WTLL (which you should not be having nowadays anyway).

2018 : "As such driver performance data will remain confidential to the individual and will not be displayed on notice boards or in league tables, nor will it form part of performance management"

TRIMBLE AGREEMENT

WHO CAN SEE MY INFORMATION?
The driver behaviour information will only be available to authorised members of the project and management team.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
