Back to work interview after an absence

Is there a certain amount of time management have when you return to work to discuss your absence in the back to work interview? Have my stage 1 interview tomorrow and the last absence i had was september this year and they forgot to do the back to work interview with me despite me asking them twice.

You might as well take the week off for they will issue you for sure. You will not beat the system but if you must try take your rep in with you.

Make sure they date it back to sept if they issue the stage, which k979aaa says is likely.

i had same sort of problem last week dude i was off work for 2 months with a broken bone i came back and no one did my return to work
however 10 weeks later im called in for a stage one meeting
kicked off about it and it was backdated to 2 weeks after i returned to work
make enough fuss and they will back date it
stay quiet and you will be on a stage effectively for longer that the 12 months

We've had people have a Stage 3 dismissal overturned because the proper paperwork / procedures had not been strictly adhered to, so I reckon you should seek your rep's advice before you get your Stage 1 interview. Seems to me if they didn't do your return-to-work interview within 48hours of your return, they have not adhered to the Attendance procedure. Get advice asap.

At my offices we have had loads of stages not issued, because the management had not done return to work interviews, unfortunatley you need a strong rep who knows the attendance precedure inside out!!!

that's the problem they often botch things , it's RM's problem as a ET will rule RM have not followed procedure

I,ve had a stage two knocked back twice now because they forgot to do the btw interview, as far as I,m aware it has to be done on the day you return to work, I had the rep with me on both occasions and the other side had no arguement they admitted they had ballssed up.
