Post removed - as requestd numerous times please do not post in advice threads unless offering such.

Start new threads when you wish to comment on a specific matter, not in the advice request threads. Reason, it can be seen as bullying if you put down someone who is in a vulnerable frame of mind.

You have done well to last a year, sadly many new starters dont. The job is not what it used to be and most new part timers get treated badly. Most managers are incompetent, nasty pieces of work who try to make up for it by bullying people. Be proud of yourself and good luck in whatever you do next.

It used to be if you could get past the first 6 weeks of being a postie you'd probably stick it out for a long time, but not anymore. The workload and conditions are getting tougher by each week that million pounds is lost and RM doesn't make a profit.

If you have done over at year at RM then go sick with stress for a while and then look for another job at the same time.
you have done well to make it past the first few months that most people will quit.
you also have a start time and a finish time, just work your hours and leave all the recourse to the DOM.

Good luck to you if you do go, there will be quite a few following you when the Minimum wage hits around £10. stack shelves or walk the street for 6+ hours and kill yourself?!

Have you informed your rep about this? If you don’t wish to do overtime tell your manager you’re cutting off and working to your finishing time . They will probably give you s##t but ignore them and bring back whatever you can’t do!!! Play by the rules and they can’t sack you... the managers will leave you alone once they know you stand your ground.

Thanks doorstepped
I am going straight into another job luckily. I have battled along for long enough.
Maybe jumping from one frying pan into another but we will see.

Thats why the RM cant compete to many with the go sick attitude you would not be saying that if you were the one paying the wages shame on you.

Maybe if this company didn’t treat people so badly they wouldn’t have that attitude?

If you think RM treats people badly you better not work for another delivery company.
