It definitely seems to be happening on purpose. Parcels were still pretty busy here today but once again the mail wasn’t even worth prepping in and taking out, probably missed about 8 doors between each letter. Very strange....

the same discussions in our office today. never had such a quiet letters day.

our union rep has been telling people today that the plan for our office is that those on a 4 day week will be moved over to 5 days (3 quarters of our office are on 4 days - mainly rurals).

how true this is and how much of these decisions are down to local agreements I am not sure. needless to say there were a lot of unhappy posties.

The manager at my office is already using the old classic of "you where finished early on this day" so now your not allowed to cut off" even telling staff who say they need to cut off that if they bring anything back they will be conducted. Union no were to be seen.

Yup, Dead as per usual. Very concerning. Ever since we dropped the Saturday and picked it back up its been this way. Before we dropped the Saturday, Mondays and Saturdays were normal. When we dropped that Saturday, Mondays were impossibly busy. When we picked it back up again Saturday went back to normal yet Monday have gone to this? Somethings going on. :cuppa

Certainly seems to be engineered towards a 5 day week. Our office now talikng about triple lapsing Tuesday and Saturday - the shortest working days of the week. And yet Monday is not worth taking out really.

It seems it's only me who gets hammered on a Monday. That's because I've always got at least 2 days of mail.

Since this craziness started at the end of march i've worked 76 days and out of those i've only had 4 'normal' days.

WORK TO TIME!!

RM trying to engineer something here, we were doing double our normal lapsing today so quadruple . As the manager has stopped some of the par timers coming in on monday and changing some of there days to Wednesday .

More likely mon-fri with Saturdays mail being rolled over to Monday.
