Just out of curiosity are we the only DO in the country that hasn't lapsed outdoor for over 3 years!

Lapsing isn't compulsory you know. It's to fill your hrs if you have time. Something no body should have a problem with anyway.

Tell that to the managers who put it on the duty list the week before. And don't say bonus has nothing to do with it!

If we say we cant do the lapsing then we are told to leave loops on our own walks so we can take the lapse, All agreed by our brown nose rep

We apart from Christmas pressure have lapsed everyday since it was thought of all them years ago,pandemic or no pandemic lol

Like I said it is a tool to staff the office with the least staff so managers get a bonus so if you have time you do it. While your overtime is not pensionable their bonus is so you could say your feathering their nest for them by your lapsing!

its because they know you will go quicker to complete your own walk or claim overtime rather than bring some of your own delivery back

That’s not right. I won’t do lapsing first as it puts too much pressure on Me to get specials done by 1PM on My own delivery.

No 1pm specials at the moment so thats no problem, you do as requested by your manager if you have a solid reason not to then you discuss it with the manager their decision is final so if you bring more work back then its their problem always involve the rep so you have back up when you do not complete.
