Masks in office

Post by Pycho666 »

We have to wear them from next week, anyone else out there in the same boat, seems a bit ott as we already have relatively decent social distancing.

Must be a local decision because Matt Hancock, the Health Secratary, has said "We will not be recommending masks in the office."

Even with "mandatory" wearing of masks in shops there are medical exceptions. (including mental health exceptions)
Nobody has to justify their non compliance with the mandatory ruling.
Nobody should have to share their medical records with all and sundry.

How exactly is your manager going to enforce this?
I would be tempted to refuse the "request" just to see what he does. Is he going to send people home?

What a joke this is. I won't be wearing a muzzle anywhere, my medical history/health is between my GP and myself only, nobody else needs to know so just refuse on health grounds.

The mask I wear in our delivery office seems to encourage some serious social distancing...

Hope it's made compulsory and strictly enforced.

Idiots who refuse put us all at risk and should be dealt with via conduct.

It can't be strictly enforced without breaching people's right to privacy.

Deaths for people under 45 are no higher than on an average year.
Unless people have medical grade masks and change them very regularly, know how to put them on and never touch them then they don’t work! They give people a false sense of security and will make people ignore social distancing and forget hand hygiene!
Now the government has made them mandatory in shops we will be very busy permanently on parcels now as the high street will die

I've been doing afternoons so not many people around. I can understand them bringing them in for the earlies and regular starters though, when there's a pre-covid level of employees at frames etc. It's very prudent in mitigating the second wave. I've just bought one and will be using it.

It's not a muzzle it's a mask.
Are you unaware of the difference or is this a personal S&M thing you're sharing?
