When do you give the fit note?

I've been off 7 days, the doc has given me an extra 7 days due to no improvement. I went off with chest pains due to anxiety/stress. I need blood tests and medication.

Do i give the note when i go back??

Get your Mrs to take it in, as soon as you get your fit note.

Definitley not. they will threaten to stop your pay without it.

Your doctor can email it to you and you can then email it to your manager.

Make sure you make a copy of it somehow then or he'll deny receipt......

Tell work you have a note covering you up to x date, and will provide it as soon as you can.

Then post, email or drop it in whenever you can.

Most managers *should* be fine with that. Important thing is to keep your manager informed.
