Has anybody used the my bundle salary sacrifice to buy any technology?
i'm looking at getting something that will reduce my pay by £6 gross per week, however i have seen i have to update my tax code to pay the income tax on this benefit, however there isnt anywhere to find out what that would equate to.
any advice and past experience would be appreciated
I got an ASUS Laptop last July which costs £4.87 a week for 2 years. A lot cheaper to buy from currys though if you've got the cash. I dont miss the £4.87 drop .
Never done it myself and probably never will as people on here have posted that YOUR ARE NOT BUYING IT, YOU LEASING IT. You hand it back after the lease expires.

How has your tax code changed, did you have to notify HMRC yourself or did royal mail do it for you?
Route1, nonsense, while it's true that during the payment period, the item is technically leased, once the payment period is ended, a small amount of money is deducted from your wages, and the item is yours, you would only have to return the item if you were to stop the payments. Its exactly the same with the cycle to work scheme which is how I brought my cycle
I have some Sonos speakers and a soundbar that cost me just over eight quid a week through the scheme, which I think is great for about £800 worth of stuff. I do my first hour of overtime during the week and think to myself, just paid for me speakers.
I'm not sure about the tax bit, but I have just ordered a car through My Bundle as well, so will mention it to HRMC when I notify them to make sure my tax code changes.
From 6 April 2016, a new exemption means employers will no longer have to agree a dispensation with HMRC or report expenses or benefits in kind on form P11D where the employee is entitled to tax relief for those expenses or benefits in kind. Those expenses or benefits in kind will now be exempt from income tax.
What is a benefit in kind?Benefits in kind are benefits that employees or directors receive from their company which aren't included in their salary or wages. They're also sometimes called 'perks' or 'fringe benefits'.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
Anyone tried to log onto the technology part of the My Bundle site recently? Been trying for a few days and it gives me an error message "There was a problem connecting to this site. Please try again later. "

I've been getting that message for weeks. I just assumed everything was on hold/messed up due to coronavirus. The whole site is much less user friendly since the revamp last year.

Cheers, I wondered if it was my browser etc. The site is a mess now, took me a few minutes to navigate to the correct section.

Drop an email or give a call. They usually sort the problem without fuss. Without a doubt the most efficient customer service team I've ever had dealings with.

From the Royal Mail Technology Benefit FAQ:
You will own the equipment ordered from day one and there will
be nothing further to pay at the end of the agreement.
It seems to be ok. I've got a big TV, a Nintendo Switch and a pair of bluetooth headphones for £13-14 a week. I won't really miss it.
Whether or not the prices MyBundle give for each example of technology are the cheapest on the market remains to be seen.
Naturally, to spread the cost you may end up paying more over time than you would buying it all outright. But it all depends on what you're comfortable with, financially.
