Hi what would a new postie in glasgow get?

also what benefits do they get? cheaper mail ?

you have to use dsa to get it cheaper !................. the only free thing you'll get free is grief from the screws :shock:

At the moment new entrants are being offered 25 hour contracts within my DO.
The hourly rate i am unsure about?

As for benefits you get none.

its only wages i want to know about

i will take the job if its more than i get at mo, somone said £5.85 per hour if its that its not worth it

That seems to be the amount you would roughly get if you were to work up in Springburn's Mail Centre as a casual worker. But i think the delivery side would be at a higher rate.

the minimum wage nationaly is £5.52 an hour for typeing this sh*t like i do in my spare time. Being a postman is bloodly hard work. and i should know haveing done it all my working life!. Pay rate's may have gone up but hourage has gone down it is not the job it was and it will get worse!.
