Can’t understand what all the fuss is about, where was the union when things where bad they didn’t want to know, there wouldn’t be the loss of jobs they are on about, a lot of offices have vacancies, people retiring, people who want to leave , I work Monday to Friday where as I used to Work Monday to Saturday, working Monday to Friday is less tiring.

it’s about the lack of consultation and bypassing our elected representation is what should be concerning you. It’s not about the mechanics of set days off and such. With the union out the way Royal Mail will set about your terms and conditions like a fox in a hen house. We had to create a fuss to get some protection in this present crisis. The people who run this company were not very forthcoming until they were embarrassed.woody38 wrote:Can’t understand what all the fuss is about, where was the union when things where bad they didn’t want to know, there wouldn’t be the loss of jobs they are on about, a lot of offices have vacancies, people retiring, people who want to leave , I work Monday to Friday where as I used to Work Monday to Saturday, working Monday to Friday is less tiring.

If people think it will stay as Monday till Friday working then your in for a shock, in a few months time they will revert back to delivering on saturdays and cancel delivering on tuesdays, its all part of ricos plan to get the public on his side and to divide the work force.woody38 wrote:Can’t understand what all the fuss is about, where was the union when things where bad they didn’t want to know, there wouldn’t be the loss of jobs they are on about, a lot of offices have vacancies, people retiring, people who want to leave , I work Monday to Friday where as I used to Work Monday to Saturday, working Monday to Friday is less tiring.

I don't know of any offices that have introduced changes as a result of the eighteen page document apart from a few comments on RMC. The announcement ****** off most DOMs as they were already in a mess and there was no chance of doing anything for May 2nd or even May 9th with the bank holiday as well. Far as I know we will not be making any changes in our DO as a result of this joke of a decision.frankieboy wrote:If people think it will stay as Monday till Friday working then your in for a shock, in a few months time they will revert back to delivering on saturdays and cancel delivering on tuesdays, its all part of ricos plan to get the public on his side and to divide the work force.woody38 wrote:Can’t understand what all the fuss is about, where was the union when things where bad they didn’t want to know, there wouldn’t be the loss of jobs they are on about, a lot of offices have vacancies, people retiring, people who want to leave , I work Monday to Friday where as I used to Work Monday to Saturday, working Monday to Friday is less tiring.
I always went with the idea they would drop Tuesday as a working day to cut on overheads and make more profits. This current trial just shows that Saturday will be the day to go if or when it ever fully gets implemented. If they manage to ditch letters the current workforce will get sidelined and eventually got rid of in favour of a new workforce. They really don't give a damn about us.

I’ll think you’ll find he will make changes or risk his future as a Dom
