strong rumours down in bristol about the local branch saying all jobs available on a resign and whats left being the part time jobs..can only speak for my office but theres a def attack to cherry pick the fav walks and give them to part timers..what we consider the walks we dont like or dont want are being left alone ..

I wouldn't like to comment on your office but there is a definite change of climate on repicks. Since the advent of TWF there has been a move to classify some duties as DDA, since the buy down of hours some duties have been classed as family friendly, the specialist duties, anyone whose duty has not changed with the later starts and changed hours none of these would go into the general repick -so by stealth they have seriously eroded the seniority repicks for something much less desirable. Lets just say some part timer who has been in the job 6 months and been on a duty that has formerly been full time but has not been advertised can show a cause for family friendly hours or has some sort of disability they will keep the duty, the hours would not be added elsewhere.

our resign is due to losing 7 full timers in october who went on e.v.r ..3 of the jobs are currently being occupied by part timers which to say the least is infuriating..the management though are looking at picking off more popular walks before the resign starts

yup give us part timers the big dutys,we will be the ones coming in on time and not finishing prep(full timers prepping my mail) or delivery.not to mention the 'fav walks' could now be s**t on with the introduction of geo route.think before you take the easy option. :nana
